Flaunt by Adriana Locke

Beyond entertaining with some sweetness peppered in, Banks’ book is somehow even better than I anticipated. He’s the youngest of the Carmichael boys and definitely the most menacing. Sara is his brother’s wife’s best friend that’s in desperate need of somewhere to stay for a little while until she can get her own place after parting ways with a sort-of ex that claimed she basically wasn’t good enough. What ensues is some tension and a whole lot of hilarity and wittiness coupled with a mutual attraction that’s hard to ignore. Can there ever really be anything more between these two though?

Banks! He’s literally all the goofy but kind goodness I knew he’d be in his own book. As the youngest of the brothers and certainly the most codependent of them all, he’s got his own quirks, but they make him that much more delightful of a character. And Sara is even more awesome than I thought when we first met her. Yes, she’s feisty, but she’s also got this softer side and a past that made me empathize with her. I love that she’s so able to go toe-to-toe with the slightly overwhelming character that is Banks. He needed someone to challenge him, and Sara’s great for that.

Also, as with this whole series, I cannot get enough of all the secondary characters and their role in the book. You get such a strong sense of what it means to be a family and be there for each other as much as you get the silliness that can happen only when characters are that close. Everyone has a part to play in this larger story, and with each book I fall a little more in love with the Carmichaels. Their presence works to further the storyline, and the book is better for it.

If you’ve read the other books in this series, then you’re absolutely going to want to read Flaunt. It’s fun with amazing characters and will leave you grinning.
