Brooklyn is new to Colorado having gotten a job for the Slade’s
brewery working on their social media/advertising, and Tyler is the eldest son
of the brewery’s owner, Drake. Instead of taking it over, he decided his heart
is running the family ranch, but Brooklyn has big plans for him by putting him
to work as the face of the brand. To say Tyler is reluctant to play model for
his family’s business is an understatement, but Brooklyn eventually cajoles him
into doing it. Right from the start, there’s an attraction, and rather quickly
we see them go from just working together to something very different, despite
there being more than a couple bumps along the way.
When we first meet Tyler and Brooklyn, there’s an immediate
electric undercurrent between them. Their chemistry is off the charts, and when
they finally give in to it, it’s almost explosive. The passion between these two
is crazy hot, and the way they went about their relationship with all the ups
and downs peppered with those steamy moments made for a completely compelling
read.
And I love a book where you get to see secondary characters
help to fuel the storyline, and when those characters are ones we’ve already
met? Even better. I loved seeing Drake in his later years and getting to know
the new generation of Slades has me excited for what’s coming in this series. I
adored seeing how the others, especially Tyler’s brother Trent, brought in this
humorous but heartfelt side to the book. This is the sort of family of
characters where you fall in love with them right away, and I cannot wait to
see what’s in store for them next.
