Mine to Promise by Natasha Madison

Mine to Promise is exactly what I’ve come to expect from this series, which is that it’s a romance that will make you swoon and leave you smiling. The story begins with Addison as the lead on Sofia and Matthew’s (from Mine to Take) wedding and running into Stefano. He’s the ONS from 5 years before and the father of her daughter, Avery. It’s immediately evident to Stefano that the woman he’s never been able to forget is the mother of the little girl he meets that looks just like him. From there, things move quickly, and Stefano works to prove himself, but what does that mean for him and Addison?

I completely enjoyed this storyline. It had some serious themes, but there’s an overall lightness to the book that I found so compelling. There’s a lot of sweetness and the found family aspect to it is not only cute but so much fun, too. If you’ve read other books in this series or of Madison’s you’ll recognize the secondary characters immediately, and there’s something comforting in this universe she’s created. I adore how fiercely this family loves one another and so completely accepts Addison and Avery.

And Stefano is basically the definition of swoonworthy. He’s kind and genuine and steps up from the get go. Then Addison is such a doll. I liked her when we’d met her before, but seeing her whole story makes me like her that much more. Together, they’re like puzzle pieces that fit, and even though things aren’t perfect they work.

This is yet another swoony read in the Southern Weddings series with a great cast of characters that will make you believe in second chances. If you love contemporary smalltown romances, you definitely need this book and this series.
