Steamy, intense, and with an undercurrent of danger, Tempting Little Thief is the explosive first book in the Girls of Greyson series and does not disappoint. Bass is from the wrong side of the tracks and comes from a traumatic and chaotic upbringing, and we find out right away how he wound up in the situation he’s in currently. Rocklin is the rich girl that might come from privilege but that’s not to say her life’s been all too easy either. They meet unexpectedly and then come into contact again quickly and have a…connection. Sparks fly, and right away things between them are super powerful. But will things bigger than what they desire be able to keep them apart?
Bass is so what I wanted him to be! He’s aggressively
protective and a bit of a brute, but his passion is evident. Plus, I find any
character with a tough background intriguing, and his is especially difficult. Rocklin
is fierce and can hold her own against just about anyone, and I love how in
charge she is! She’s a force in her own right, and the way she dominates the pages
of this book is crazy good. These two together shouldn’t perhaps work, but they
do and in the most passionate of ways. I enjoyed seeing how they butted heads,
and their interactions not only kept me interested but smiling, too.
This is a complex world they’re living in, and it’s well
written. It’s not what I’d ever consider a quick read, and I think that if you
haven’t read the Boys of Brayshaw series then you’re going to want to after
Tempting Little Thief. Something I adore about Brandy’s books is how well developed
they are and how incredibly thought out the storylines are. This book is involved,
and it sucks you in right away. You’ll have to read it to find out what I mean.
If you love Brandy’s other works, then you already know you’re
going to want to read this book. If you haven’t then I’m here to tell you that
if you like stories that are rife with suspense and spice, you’re not going to
want to miss this addictive first installment to the Girls of Greyson.
