The Redo by Max Monroe

The Redo is the final book in the Winslow Brothers series, and I don’t think it could’ve been a more perfect ending to this family’s set of stories. You’ll swoon and laugh your way through this book for sure!

Remy and Maria were high school sweethearts whose relationship ended when Remy went away to college. They reconnect finally when they’re in their early forties, and a lot has gone down in those years they spent apart. Remy had a failed attempt at getting married and has spent the last decade and a half being the consummate bachelor, and Maria runs a successful real estate firm and is very pregnant when they get stuck in an elevator in the middle of summer. This is a second-chance/friends-to-lovers romcom, and this book follows Remy and Maria through finding each other again to becoming friends and then eventually much more than that.

I had a feeling that these authors were leaving the best Winslow for last, and I was not wrong! Remy is so much more than just the brooding bachelor I thought he was, and I lost count of how many times I literally thought “aww” during the moments we see him with Maria’s baby. I seriously think it would be impossible to not swoon over how Remy is with both the baby and with Maria, and I loved his softer side.

And if you’re looking for funny, this book is it. There’s so much humor sprinkled throughout the story, and I absolutely loved the parts where we see Remy with his family. If you’ve read the previous books, then you know these characters have big personalities, and each one of them has their times where they shine. I definitely enjoyed revisiting everyone, and I especially found the interactions with Thatcher hilarious. His character is ridiculously funny, and I love that he just pops up here and there.

Also, given that there’s a history between Remy and Maria, I appreciated that we got glimpses of how their relationship unfolded all those years ago juxtaposed with what’s happening in the present. I think it cleverly gave us their backstory in such a way that it helped with the progression of their changing relationship now.

I adored how Remy’s story turned out, and I absolutely recommend it to anyone who’s looking for a swoony, steamy, and funny romance.

P.S. Make sure you download the extended epilogue! Totally worth it!
