Drake and Daisy are SO good! Drake is the unwittingly
arrogant football player with a future in the NFL, and Daisy is the every girl
that doesn’t know or care about the popular jock. The way these two play off
each other is comedic perfection, and their chemistry sizzles. I love Drake for
every bit the sort of confident but haphazardly sweet and swoony character he
is. Like the further you get into who he really is and not just everyone’s
perception of him, the better he gets. And Daisy is exactly the sort of heroine
he needed. She’s funny and sarcastic but genuine, and I appreciate a character
like her.
Also, what I love about Ney’s books is that she creates
these characters that feel so real in the sense that they’re not perfect. Not
only that, but she does so in a way that makes me laugh. Seriously, please try
and read one of her books and not at least crack a smile. I dare you.
From the start, this book put me in a good mood, and all the
cheekiness and heartfelt moments add up to a book that’s fantastically
entertaining and addictive. The characters, plot, and humor make this book
another fantastic addition to the series, and I’m so excited to see what
happens with Drew.
