The Rebound by Kendall Ryan

Book four of the Looking to Score Series features Saint, the reckless playboy defenseman that’s on the cusp of a team suspension, and Kinley, Saint’s new pregnant neighbor that just so happens to be his team captain’s little sister. They meet as Kinley is moving into the condo her big brother, Walker, buys her when she’s seven months pregnant. They’re instant friends and eventually start to become more. Unfortunately, when Walker comes home from his annual surfing trip and discovers his sister and teammate that he’s less than fond of have any sort of connection at all, Saint and Kinley’s budding relationship becomes difficult. The story then takes us through the evolution of their relationship from that conflict and more.

I really enjoyed how this story was paced and how quickly it became a page turner. From the first pages, it sucks you in and makes you want to keep reading. Throughout the book, Ryan gives you enough sweetness and angst with some sexiness peppered in to make you need to see how Saint and Kinley’s story ends.

Also, the characters are phenomenal! Both Saint and Kinley are so endearing, and they’re perfect for each other. I was curious to see how Ryan would have their story play out with him being such a wild character with a bad-boy reputation and her being pregnant, single, and trying to navigate becoming a mother, but they’re both so right for each other that it definitely works. Kinley is adorably sweet, and Saint was completely loveable and charming from the start of the book.

Saint and Kinley’s story was everything I had hoped it would be. The Rebound was sweet, sexy, and I couldn’t put it down.
