Fluke by Adriana Locke

These Carmichael men get me every time! They're exactly what you what in your book boyfriends and trust me when I say you're going to have a tough time getting over Jess. When this story begins, we find that Pippa has gotten herself into a bit of a work thing that necessitates her to hopefully find someone perfect as her completely into her ex-husband. In comes Jess, and it’s no secret that he’s had a thing for her for a long time, since they basically grew up together with him being childhood friends with her older brother. Things aren’t necessarily smooth sailing for these two, but will they be able to move past everything and really be together, or will it all be too much?

Gah! I adore Jess! Like LOVE love him. He’s so swoony and sweet and good and spicy, and I’ve found a new favorite Carmichael in him. His persistence is endearing, and by the end I think it would’ve been hard not to fall in love with his character. And then there’s Pippa, and I think there’s a bit of her in most women, and I found myself feeling almost protective of her. Together their banter is fantastic, and the chemistry is on point.

And this series wouldn’t be what it is without the rest of the Carmichael’s making their appearances. I loved seeing more of Foxx, although now I’m even more antsy for his story. And Banks? Oh poor, naughty Banks. I absolutely cannot wait to find out about the woman who’ll tame him. She’s going to have to be something else to deal with his goofy craziness.

With Fluke, I think I've found my new favorite book by this author. It's got sweetness, some angst, and plenty of steam and fun, and I'm desperately needing to know who's sending the anonymous messages. This book is part of a series, and while you can read it as a standalone, why would you want to when you could catch up with the rest of the Carmichaels?
