The Hate of Loving You by Maya Hughes

Finally, we get the ending of the Falling series we needed!

The Hate of Loving You is set 6 years after Bay leaves Dare/Keyton. Bay is now a superstar musician, and Keyton is the lucky charm of football, garnering plenty of Super Bowl rings but very little time on the field. This time around, it’s Bay’s turn to work to win Keyton back. Neither are particularly happy in their lives, and both clearly still pine for one another. This is their final shot at happiness together, and we get to see how they build their relationship and get to their happily ever after.

I was so happy to see Bay and Keyton together again, and honestly happy to find that Bay understood that she needed to fight for him instead of how Keyton had tried so hard in The Sin of Kissing You. I rooted for them throughout the series, but I needed them to find their happiness in this final book. I wasn’t disappointed. Their pain from being apart was palpable. That pain and conflict added to the intensity of their love, and it made it all more satisfying in the end.

If you’ve read the first two books in this series, you will not be disappointed in The Hate of Loving You. It’s exactly the ending to the Falling series that needed to happen.
