Mine to Cherish by Natasha Madison

Equal parts laugh-out-loud funny, steamy, and angsty, this is Clarabella and Luke’s book and is completely addictive. This story begins with Clarabella in a relationship with Edward who rather quickly asks her to marry him. Fast forward a few months and Luke is back after working alongside another chef in New York when he finds out that Clarabella is engaged to be married. The issue is that Luke and Clarabella have quite the past but so does Edward as it turns out, and when it comes time to get married, Clarabella ends up a runaway bride. Luke happens to be the one she runs into as she’s getting away, and they wind up going to his extremely remote cabin where things take an interesting turn.

I absolutely love how Luke and Clarabella’s story unfolds. There’s this amount of dread from past and present mistakes that adds to the drama in the best way possible and seeing these two deal with everything is beyond good. There’s something so endearing about Luke, even though he’s made his mistakes in the past. And Clarabella? She’s my favorite of the siblings in this series so far, and the way she handles it all feels very true to her character. Plus, I think she’s the funniest and spunkiest of the entire cast of characters and she had me genuinely laughing more than a couple times. Also, something I adore about this series is how comedic and supportive the other characters are. Clarabella’s family and Luke’s friend and chef are all hilarious in their own rights, and their addition to the book(s) helps move the storyline forward. Plus, I’m always interested in how the other characters from the previous books are doing and getting glimpses of them in this book was very entertaining. Mine to Cherish is a phenomenal addition to this series, and I didn’t want to put it down. It’s the sort of romance that will make you laugh, swoon, and have you anxious to see how the story plays out.
